Power Boat Cruise: Destination - Fire Island

CRUISE TO FIRE ISLAND, NY

LEHYC SMALL BOAT CRUISE JUNE 2-4, 2017

5 LEHYC powerboats are scheduled to shove off from LEHYC early Friday, June 2, 2017 destination Fire Island, NY, returning late afternoon Sunday, June 4, 2017.

The trip is about 110 miles each way, dock to dock.

The plan is to travel up the coast of New Jersey on Friday, June 2 arriving in Ocean Beach, Fire Island by approximately 3 PM. Saturday is a “lay day” for exploring Fire Island by land or by sea.

Sunday is return to LBI day. Some captains may choose to do a “straight shot” from Fire Island Inlet to Beach Haven Inlet which is about 80 miles. Others may choose to take the scenic route home with sightseeing into NY harbor and its environs.

To date the following have joined the fleet with their boats: Margie and Kevin McGlynn; Bob and Dina Stevens; Laurie and Drew Messler; Jake and Sean Turner, and Tom and Jody Masterson.

If you are interested in joining the cruise by skippering your own seaworthy boat, you are welcome to join.

Rooms are available at the Blue Water Inn for $175.00 per night. Dockage is available at Flynn’s Marina for $100.00 per boat per night.
