LEHYC is hosting a Boating Safety Certificate Course to be taught by Captain Bob Brazill on Sunday, August 20th. A boating safety certificate is required to operate a motor boat or personal water craft vessel in the State of New Jersey. Anyone 12 years old or older can register and attend the course (provided that licenses are not issued until children turn 13 years old so you will need to follow up once they turn 13 to get their paper certificate). Please note that those under 17 can only run boats/vessels powered by less than 10hp. Also note that anyone interested in becoming a counselor at our LEHYC needs this license. The course is 8 hours long from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will be held in the Molly (**definitely bring lunch & snacks**). The cost is $100 per person to be paid by check the day of the class (also if more than 10 people join the class, the class will be reduced to $80 per person!).
